Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
B&C Lake Charles Concrete Company, lakecharlesconcretecompany.com, sales@lakecharlesconcretecompany.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the B&C Lake Charles Concrete Company website and any estimate or work you get from us. By using our website, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them.
If you've signed a written agreement for your job, that agreement controls wherever it says something different from this page. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site, and call us before booking so we can talk it through.
What we do
We're a concrete contractor in Lake Charles, LA. We pour driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls and decorative or stamped concrete, and we also do concrete cutting and foundation raising. We work in Lake Charles and the cities around it.
What we'll do on your job is what's written in your estimate or agreement. The service descriptions on this site explain the work in general terms and aren't a promise about any one property. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free and done in person, and you're under no obligation to book. An estimate is based on what we can see that day, including the size of the area, how much old concrete comes out, the condition of the ground under it and the finish you choose.
Some things only show up once the job is open, like soft or wet soil under the old slab, buried debris or roots. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and get your approval before we go on. Any change to the scope or price should be agreed in writing or by text or email.
An estimate is good for the time written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you book, and we do our best to keep it. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, high heat or wet ground can push a pour back because pouring in bad conditions makes a weaker slab. When that happens, we'll call you and set the next good day.
If you need to cancel or move your date, please call us as soon as you can at (337) 549-5674. If we've already ordered material, rented equipment or started work for your job, you may owe for those costs. Your agreement will say how that's handled.
Payment
Your estimate or agreement says how much is due, when and how you can pay. On some jobs we ask for a deposit before we schedule or order material.
Payment is due on the dates in your agreement. If a balance goes unpaid, we may pause work, charge any late fees your agreement allows and use the collection and lien rights the law gives contractors.
Your part of the job
We need clear access to the work area on the scheduled day, so please move vehicles, furniture and anything else in the way. Please tell us about sprinkler lines, septic systems, buried wiring or anything else underground that we wouldn't know to look for.
You're responsible for knowing where your property lines are and for any rules your homeowners association sets. Unless your agreement says otherwise, you're also responsible for confirming with your city or parish whether the work needs a permit.
What to expect from new concrete
Concrete is a natural material, and some small cracking is normal as it dries and shrinks. We cut control joints, which are straight grooves in the slab, so those cracks are more likely to form along the lines we chose instead of across the middle. Hairline cracks are not a defect.
Color and texture can vary from one pour to the next and from any older concrete next to it, especially with stamped or colored work. New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens to full strength, so follow the walking and driving times we give you. Damage from using the slab too early, from heavy trucks or equipment, from chemicals or de-icers, or from ground movement after the job isn't covered.
Warranty disclaimer
Any warranty on your work is the one written in your agreement, and it covers only what it says. We want you happy with the job, and if something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it.
Outside of a written warranty, and as far as the law allows, our work and this website are provided as they are, without other promises, express or implied. That includes implied promises about fitness for a particular use.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured. As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, or for problems caused by things outside our control. Those include weather, soil movement, flooding, hidden conditions you didn't tell us about, or work done by others. Nothing here limits liability that Louisiana law doesn't allow us to limit.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and isn't advice for your property. Please don't copy our text or photos for commercial use without asking. We're not responsible for outside websites that we link to.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first. Most issues get settled with a phone call and a visit to the job.
If we can't work it out ourselves, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court, unless a claim belongs in small claims court or needs urgent action.
Which law applies
These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any court case will be heard in the courts serving Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, unless the law requires a different place, such as for a job in Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the newest version will always be on this page. Changes don't affect a job you've already signed for, which stays under the terms in place when you signed.
